New video from NY group Ratking to accompany their new EP “Wiki93.” Pick up the EP on iTunes and check this dope article from NY Times that talks about Ratking’s deep connection to the city and the progression of their music.
Killer Mike - ‘Reagan’ [Music Video]
Dope new video presented by Pitchfork for Killer Mike’s track that shits on US political elites and highlights gross social injustices that have become standard in America. Also just in time for tonight’s presidential debate, if you’re into that circus shit…

Brother Ali - Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color [Album Stream]
I played this whole joint twice through already and I’m confident calling it one of the BEST hip hop albums of 2012! Brother Ali takes listeners on a journey by intertwining conflicting emotions with his piercing lyrics over entirely Jake One-produced beats. The anger and disappointment in his lyrics on multiple tracks (‘Mourning In America’, ‘Gather Round’) represents his ‘mourning’ regarding the state of his country and its shortcomings. On the flipside, his uplifting and straight soulful vibe on others (‘Letter To My Countrymen’, ‘Namesake’, ‘Singing This Song’) pays respect to those who have achieved greatness and displays his optimism about what those who stand up can achieve. As always, Ali digs deeps and delivers some stirring messages for those who take the time to listen!
The project that Jon Connor calls his “most human project ever … like a musical documentary of the changes going on in my life,” ‘While You Were Sleeping’ is finally here after MUCH anticipation! This comes just 3 months after his epic ‘The People’s Rapper’ LP where he rapped over 18 beats previously used by Eminem. Features on this joint include Bun B, GLC, Kid Ink and Killa Kyleon!
